For any iQ Ceramic purchased after 16th October 2024:
Yes, the iQ Ceramic has Open Window Detection. If the temperature has dropped over 2℃ in 5 minutes or under, it will go into Frost mode and the Frost icon will appear. It will go back into the previous working mode once the set time (60/90 mins) has elapsed.
Please note: Open window detection is disabled by default. You can enable this through the settings menu (F1).
On Program mode, 2 symbols may appear: Frost, and whichever mode was set before OWD was detected.
For any iQ Ceramic purchased before 16th October 2024:
Yes. When enabled, open window detection will automatically activate if the radiator detects a drop of 2˚C or more in 5 minutes. This will switch the radiator to anti-freeze mode to prevent warmth from escaping unnecessarily and saving energy in the process.
The open window icon will appear on the control panel screen when open window detection is activated.
Please note: Open window detection is disabled by default. It can be enabled or disabled in the advanced functions menu or via the app. When you enable open window detection you can also set the length of time the radiator will wait before it resumes heating – this can be set for 60 or 90 minutes.
