Also known as child protection function, it’s listed as advanced function 9. This feature reduces the unit’s power usage to a percentage of the maximum: 25%, 50% or 75%. The lower the percentage, the weaker the electric current inside the unit and the slower it will heat the room, making it less likely to reach high surface temperatures.
To access advanced functions, navigate to the advanced functions menu by holding down the tick key until you reach the time setting screen, then holding down tick for a further five seconds. Select the function you want to adjust with the – and + keys, press tick to confirm and then > to modify.
