Firstly, make sure the SmartBox is registered to an account. The SmartBox can only be registered to one account, and only Haverland can unregister it. If you are unsure if it is registered, please provide the serial number and Haverland can check.
Next, ensure that the SmartBox is connected to the power and to the internet via an ethernet cable. Make sure the SmartBox and the app are connected to the same internet network – if you have multiple WiFi networks make sure you connect your app to the one providing internet via the ethernet cable.
The LEDS on the front of the SmartBox may be flashing, if so, consult the attached document for the meaning of the flashing and the possible solution.
