Nothing happens. It doesn’t update the heater real time, but the next time that slot comes around, the programming will work correctly. It is the same for deleting programming during the hour it had previously been told to be on. It will continue in that mode, despite you deleting the program block, until it hits a new program block or you manually change the mode.
